Thinking that lots of people had introduced themselves and I had yet to do so
I'm 26 y.o. and live in Lisbon. I work as an economist in a Financial Services Association. I used to have loads of free time to play and stuff before starting working but now I'm sold to THE CORPORATION! :<
Started playing online FPS with Action Quake 2(AQ2) in 1997. It was aws0m3! Playing with 56 kbps modem, 200 ping, the first and only LANs I have ever been too, etc.
I don't remember quite when, but started playing Urban Terror in 2000 (?), played for a few years and then quit for a long long time. At the time Clanbase (
www.clanbase.com) national tournaments and leagues were awesome and highly attended.
In between this time I played Enemy Territory and for a very short time, a not-very-known-about mod semi-similar to UrT at the time, called Reaction Quake 2 (RQ2).
I also played a few MMORPGS like Eve-Online and Darkfall-Online (you can check my 'inactive' blog at
http://casualdarkfall.blogspot.com). And yes, I also played WoW for 3 months :p
Regarding this server/community: met up with Boinaverde and tired of not having a really great server/place to play where people are genuinely friendly and helpful and where there are no douches or stuck ups, we had the crazy idea to start our own server. We had never done any of this nor did we have any idea of how things were done. I can't count the times we had to ask our server provider to reset our B3 bot and server, because we had messed things up
We have been toying a lot with the website and configurations to try to provide an intuitive and care-free place for UrT gamers to congregate and have fun.
Hmmmmm I'm rambling a bit here, sooooooo I'll finish with my holy quest which is to find some1 else who has also played Action Quake 2 (AQ2), so don't get surprised if I ask you about this .p
